 Relaunch of Family Relationships Online

Media release

Attorney-General
The Hon Christian Porter MP

Assistant Minister for Children and Families Member for Lyne
The Hon Dr David Gillespie MP

The launch of the redeveloped Family Relationships Online website today further supports the Federal Coalition Government's commitment to Australian families.

The newly refreshed website, launched today by the Attorney General, Christian Porter, and Assistant Minister for Children and Families , Dr David Gillespie, supports families when relationships become challenging. It offers access to a range of services and resources, as well as information to help families understand how to resolve disputes without going to a family law court.

"A key focus of Family Relationships Online is helping families navigate the process of managing family separations and arrangements for children and property, as an alternative to going through the court system," Minister Porter said.

"This website helps build better family relationships, even during times of stress and separation," Minister Gillespie said.

"Another benefit is the 'find local help' feature, which helps families find support services in their area."

The website also includes information about Family Relationship Centres, family mediation, and other specialist services for families and children.

Publications and factsheets on family law services, services for children and parenting after separation are available on the website. These are also provided in a number of other community languages.

"I encourage families who need help with family relationships to visit the Family Relationships Online website," Minister Gillespie said. "The information provided, the advice and resources can play a key role in helping families dealing with relationship issues."
