Mr Humphreys was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2016 for his service to the law and to a range of professional legal organisations.

Ms Neville will commence in the Sydney registry on 11 March 2019. Following the completion of a Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences) at the University of Sydney in 1992, Ms Neville obtained a Diploma in Law from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board in 1997. Ms Neville was admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1999 and was called to the Bar in 2010. At the Bar, Ms Neville has predominantly practiced in family law, including adoption matters, guardianship law, and children’s care and protection law.

Ms Boymal will commence in the Melbourne registry on 18 March 2019. Ms Boymal completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1980 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1982 at Monash University, and was admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1983. She was called to the Bar in 1992, and later worked as a Registrar in the Family Court, before returning to private practice in 1999. At the Bar, Ms Boymal’s practice has included all areas of family law, with particular expertise in complex children’s matters.

Mr Morley will commence in the Sydney registry on 19 March 2019. Mr Morley graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney in 1983 and was admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1985. Mr Morley was accredited as a family law specialist in 1994, was appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer in 1998, and qualified as a Mediator through Bond University in 2008.

On behalf of the Government, I congratulate Mr Humphreys, Ms Neville, Ms Boymal and Mr Morley on their appointments, and thank them for their willingness to serve the people of Australia as judges of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.
